Common LMS Locomotive Classes

This section is to give modellers a bit of an idea of the more common and at the same time interesting LMS locomotive classes. We also want to highlight which of these classes have ready to run (RTR) models or plastic kits available.

The common loads section is intended to show the modeller the types of rolling stock to couple to the locos for a "typical" look.

The unusual loads section is designed to give the modeller some ideas for a really different but still authentic look. This is where the fun stuff comes into it - creating something totally out of the ordinary, something no other modeller is likely to have. So go for it. Have some fun!

NOTE: This is by no means an exhaustive list of LMS locomotives. It simply contains a selection of engines offered by the various manufacturers (notably Hornby & Bachmann) as ready to run (RTR) models.
